The vampire we both love and hate
A Mate for Lance (The Program book 5)

This is book 5 in the series, but I purposely left it as the last book I read. I know that sounds weird, but Lance is just one of those characters that you either love or hate. We know he has been through some terrible things, but he is hiding all of his fear and anxiety behind a wall of hate and meanness. It's a wonder his own best friend didn't disown him. Every woman feels that she can change him. Of course they are all wrong, well until he meets the one woman who does not chase him at all. In fact she makes him do all of the work.
I loved this book! It was basically my favorite book in the entire series. Lance finally showed that he has a gooey center under all of his issues and who would have thought that it was the one woman who didn't want him that made him see that. All it took was the threat of her death, a separation, a moment with his ex, and his friends pushing him forward to set him on the path to his HEA.

Official published review:
The vampire we both love and hate
Lance is a vampire with a chip on his shoulder a mile wide.
He started out as a womanizer and has moved to indifference. Now, in his last
possible time to enter the program, he either has to find his mate or give up
on having a human one. But don’t lose hope, this is Lance we are talking
about, he does everything in his own time and in his own way. The love, and
upset, in this book keeps your interest and keeps the story moving. I can’t
wait to see what comes out of the Program next.
