The New Species really are one of my favorite book series.  What makes a great book series?  I think it must be a story that spans over several books where the underlying story smoothly goes from one to the next giving you the overwhelming desire to read the next book, but each book has a clear hero and heroine that achieve their HEA in the end of the book.  The New Species is one of those kinds of series.  Each book features a new couple and yet doesn’t forget the members we have already met in previous books and even introduces us to more allowing the New Species world to continue to grow.

We fell in love with Valiant and all his rage issues in Slade’s book, so it seems only fitting that we get to see him find the mate he was seeking.  Of course, what fun is a book without a twist, like almost all of the New Species he never thought he would find a human mate, well he was wrong.  Tammy is perfect for him!  A little on the shy and quite side, but once she gets her feet under her and her dander up watch out.  Valiant needs that to help smooth out his aggressive nature.

I love this book! I think it’s great how Valiant has overcome so much hardship and he finally has a chance at true happiness. Of course, being completely new to the outside world he managed to go about it in the wrong way. Tammy is such a doll. She is kind and gentle, but when she has to she can stand up for herself. When the two of them are together they are the perfect happy couple. I am so glad to say that they manage to get the HEA that they so richly deserve. I am excited to read the next one in the series.
