I don’t think it is very often that you will find an adult male who sees the woman he knows will be his and then waits for her.  Not putting his life on hold just stops with the dating and easy sex scene as he waits for her to mature and be ready to handle having an older guy.  That should seem weird, but in this case, it does not.  I would think you would see this often in cases where there is a big gap between siblings.  It is inevitable that the older sibling will have constant exposure to the younger sibling’s friends and vice versa, how can they not begin to look at them as something more the older they get?

This book shows that sometimes you have to keep working toward your goal until you reach a point where you just can’t wait anymore.  Be it that other guy trying to cut in on your girl or just the fact that she is now an adult as well, there is always the most opportune moment to take that final step towards what your heart desires.

Tex is a lot older than his sister and her best friend, Calissa. I love that he has wanted her for so long, kept himself celibate for her and waited until she was old enough for him. He hasn’t been idle, he created a business, so he had something to offer her a good life with. This is a perfect example of good things come to those who wait. I love that these two get to have their HEA.
