Book Aversary – Leopard’s Blood – Christine Feehan

Three years ago, on October 24, 2017 Leopard’s Blood joined the books on this author’s book shelf.  I love the current cover, but there was a previous cover with an air of mystery.

I am so happy to celebrate a Book Aversary with you from one of my favorite series.  I mean don’t get me wrong, I enjoy all of Ms Feehan’s books, but her leopards just speak to my paranormal soul.

This is one of my favorite books in the series.  I love the way it starts right off into the heart of the relationship, and then Joshua has to try to connect with his mate from there.  Ms Feehan made Sonia such a strong character and it was so fitting with her backstory.  I especially enjoyed that we were able to see two courtships unfold at the same time.  I think Sonia’s friendship with molly just added depth to her character and further brought home her need to protect those she loves.

And of course, who doesn’t love Joshua!  He was so patient and understanding in his relationship with Sonia, even when we get to see his leopard ride him hard about his fear of losing her.  These two had to work hard to get on the same page, but once they did they were phenomenal.

You guys need to grab a copy, if you haven’t already, and show the leopards some love.  Ms Feehan is not planning a leopard release for the next year, I know it made me cry too, maybe the more love we show the more likely they will make the cut for 2022.  So pick up your preferred reading format and party your heart out.

Happy Reading

#1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan cuts straight to the heart of a man who stalks the shadows in an intoxicating Leopard novel.

Though he was born into a leopard’s lair in the bayou, Joshua Tregre’s fighting skills were honed in the rain forests of Borneo. Sleek and deadly, he’s the perfect man to take over a crime syndicate back home in Louisiana’s lush swamplands. His razor-sharp instincts give him an edge in the violent underworld he knows so well, but even the watchful leopard inside him isn’t prepared for the threat that comes from the girl next door...

She is a woman who can create beauty out of thin air—and out of the ruins of her own life. The games that dangerous men play have taken their toll on her, but she is bent, not broken. And it’s her fierce spirit that’s like a lure to Joshua, a temptation he can’t resist—even if it means bringing his true nature into the light...

Restoring the broken

How exciting! Joshua finally gets his mate. I love how the author started right into this story with the first page, and all the intricate twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. I especially enjoyed the side relationship and getting to watch how interconnected both couples were. This author always writes such amazing characters. Her females are strong and feisty, and able to stand their ground with her over the top dominant alpha males. This book has just as much action and danger as the rest of the books in the series and the HEA that I adore. I am really looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
