Romance Readers Guide to Passion: Book Aversary – Numbers

This book is a special treat for New Species fans, it is the first book that contained 2 different stories in it. Originally this book was published on September 8, 2015 and it has only had 2 covers in the last 5 years. I know you are probably wondering what the fascination is with the number of covers the books I celebrate have, but some authors change their book covers as frequently as they change their underwear. While others keep the same cover, or they only change it once.

These books are so very opposite of each other, although they both feature those who have suffered loss and the hardships they face to overcome it. In 140, the author gave both these characters the one thing they needed to survive and thrive. A reason to go on. I love the depth she managed to get in the characters and the slow buildup to their HEA. In 927, we got to see even more of the devastation that Mercile caused. I think this might be one of my favorite books, I love how Candi never gave up. Even when she was faced with Hero’s new life and the fact that he moved on without her, she forgave him everything. I can honestly say that this book brought tears to my eyes and I was never so happy to see a HEA as this one.

I hope that you take the time to read both of these books. New Species fan or not this might just be the book that converts you.

Let me hold your hand
This story may not be as long as the other books in the series, but I was lost in the world of the New Species from the first page. I loved how the author used elements from other books and incorporated them into this one. These two characters have seen the darkness in the world and still managed to find their HEA. If that doesn’t instill hope, I don’t know what would. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

The dead shall live again
This book is such an emotional experience. I couldn’t help but cry during several parts. The author outdid herself when she took on the different aspects of this story. I love how it all came together and how the New Species rallied behind the characters. I can’t wait to read the next book the author creates in this series.
