These are my favorite kinds of stories, the ones with that
back story that explains behavior, and the way that everything works out the
way it is supposed to in the end. I love
how Astrid sacrificed herself for her sister.
She had no idea what her life would become and did it anyway. But the author didn’t leave her hanging, she
paired Astrid with a brutal dominant warlord who wants everything from her,
including her love. What an amazing love
story full of action, adventure, and of course, steam, with more than a healthy
dose of danger. This is my first time
reading this author’s work, but with a beginning as amazing as this I can’t
wait to see what happens next.
