I stumbled on this
week’s Throwback Thursday completely by accident. I was scrolling through my Instagram feed and
came upon a sponsored add. So, me being
me, I stopped and stared for a minute, there might have been drool involved, Oh
come on! Check out that cover! Chest and ab porn with those lines that make
women stupid, I have to get my joys somewhere.
Anywho, the cover called to me, so I took a screenshot, like I do with
all books that catch my eye, to investigate later.
My phone might be full
of screenshots of interesting book covers, new releases, and coming soon
books. Of course, sometimes when I read
the blurb they don’t sound as interesting as the cover looks, or they may be
part of a serial causing me to delete them.
I can’t help it! I am not a fan
of cliffhangers. I want to read an
overreaching storyline that is a series, but I want each book to end with a HEA
for the couple involved. The Lion’s
purpose had both, so onto my Kindle it went.
And because I was still drooling over the cover, right to the top of the
To Be Read folder.
This appears to be a
new author, there are only 2 books on available on Amazon so far. Of course, I did a little stalking and the
author’s Facebook says book 3 is currently in the works. I can’t wait!
This book was amazing! It
contained the love story I crave and the action and adventure that just didn’t
stop. I really enjoyed this author’s
take on shifters and the pitfalls that try to stand against them. I hope you take a chance on this book like I
did. I don’t think you will be
disappointed. Okay, while you grab this
little beauty to enjoy, I am off to read book 2.

What a fantastic series starter! The author filled this book
with so much action and emotion, and just when you thought you had a handle on
the story, there was another twist in the road. I love how these misfits
connected and the depth of their emotions, it kept me invested in the outcome
and reading until the very end. I enjoyed the dangerous situations they found
themselves in and the way they rallied when all hope seemed lost. This book has
made me a fan of the author, and I’m looking forward to moving on to book two.
