I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this book. It is a very dark book and has a lot of
triggers, so if you do not like that kind of thing then do not read it. I would hate for you to be one of those
readers who read a book that they know they will not like and yet give the
author a poor review. That annoys the
heck out of me. The author let the
readers know in the blurb the nature of the book and instead of avoiding it the
reader gives it a one star and is nasty about it.
Personally, I enjoyed this book. It was well written and while there are
triggers in it Ms Le Carre handled them well.
She allowed our poor heroine to have a hero. He might not have seemed a hero at first, but
even when he was trying to hide his true feelings for Lena he was working in
the background to give her the best outcome.
It is a shame that he was only able to save one of her siblings, but one
and herself are better than none.

I wasn’t sure I was going to like this book. It covers a
very dark part of society that break most people. Lena was lucky to have been
found by her soul mate, unfortunately her siblings were not so lucky. The
instant connection with Guy makes what would normally be a difficult topic a
wonderful read. The author did an excellent job of portraying the dark side
while weaving a tale that gives us hope of at least one savior among the
depravity in the seedy underbelly of society. This book is full of triggers, so
if you are affected by those I would not read it. But for those that take the
plunge, the HEA is one you will take with you when you close the last
page.
