This is another sweet addition to the U.S. Marshal Shifters series.  Who knew when we met Tiffani in the last book that she would truly be able to find her courage and overcome what her ex put her through.  He didn’t just leave her without money and a home, he left her without her sense of worth.  In this book she was already finding her way and learning that what she used to be a trophy wife before actually gave her the tools she needed to navigate the turbulent waters of the courtroom.  She might only be a court transcriptionist, but she will be the best one she can be.

And then Martin walked into her life…  Something drew her to him like nobody’s business from the first glance.  Fortunately, he felt the draw as well.  With a flare that only comes with maturity, thank you Ms Chant for giving me hope that 40 isn’t too old to start anew, these two manage to overcome multiple disruptions and find their way in the world of fated mates.

This is such a sweet love story. Martin lost his wife, but not his mate and Tiffani was finally breaking free from the mold her ex insisted she fit in. The connection they share is such that I think they would have eventually gotten together even if they weren’t mates. Discovering they were mates just sped up the journey. It was so nice to see the rest of the herd again. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
