You can never go wrong with a book by Mina Carter!  I loved this book!  It has another great cover and matches perfectly with the first book in the series.  I hate to say it, but I am one of those readers who prefer that all of the covers in a series look similar or have one feature that is always the same.  I have mentioned before that about 99% of me chosen an author for the first time is how much I like the cover.

I was totally blown away by some of the history that was revealed in this book.  It made Jynx’s mother so much more understandable.  Especially when you see what she has suffered to save her brother.  No wonder he is so protective of Jynx, well in his own way.  At least now when her mom is acting like a flake she knows she is doing her best. 

I laughed a million times as I saw the antics the grannies were up to and the numerous cooking disasters.  They perfectly off-set the pressure for Jynx and Lucas to be married and the snark the nasty event coordinator is throwing.  What is a good Mina Carter book without the perfect enemy rearing their ugly head, or is it fins, to try and disrupt the happy atmosphere.  No worries though, in true hero and heroine fashion Jynx, Lucas and their merry crew make it through to the end.  I can’t wait to see what happens next!

From the cover, which is fabulous, to the very last page this book is full of laughs, love, family and friends. In between all of the cooking disasters, a new enemy is discovered, some history is revealed a few changes are made and some couples find each other. Overall just another day in the life of Jynx. I hope we will get to see more and that her story doesn’t end here.
