I know I have said this before, but if you are an avid reader, you should really follow your favorite authors on their social media sites and sign up for their newsletters. You never know what treats they will send your way. They often have free books, giveaways, polls, excerpts, cover reveals, and suggestions of new authors you might have never heard from before. This book is just one of those treats, and all I had to do was become a VIP reader and sign up for the author’s newsletter. I think, during this uncertain time, it’s even more important. It’s hard to lose yourself in fantasy if you don’t have anything new to read.
This author is still fairly new to me, this book is actually only the third book I have read from her library, but with each book I fall more in love with her characters, her stories and her writing style. This book is a short one, but it is filled with such intensity. I wish it was a little longer, but only because I would have loved for Shane to be able to throat pinch his enemies, but that isn’t really his style. He is such a dear sweet soul and I can’t imagine him being violent for violence sake.
Even if you missed out on the chance to grab this as a freebie, you are going to want to add it to your To Be Read pile. I promise it won’t be there long. The magic of the night is sure to call you to it before others. You might even think its fate.

This book may be short, but it sure packs a punch. The author has filled the pages with friends, betrayal, love and family. The unsuspecting hero runs into witches and demons and a pack of wolves who seem more like home. I love how he is so trusting and sweet and teared up when that nipped him in the heart. The author was able to put so much detail into the danger and the emotions that I could see each scene play out in my mind. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next book by this author.
