It’s Thursday and time
to go retro. This week we are going with
this fantastic book in the Argeneau Vampires series. It’s the third one in the series, but it is
one of my favorites. I just love how
surly Lucern is and how can you not love a romance novelist, especially one who
pens vampire romances. The author really
did a fantastic job incorporating real life into this book. Both in actual real life and the real life of
the characters family. This book really
took us through the wringer emotionally and set us up perfectly for more
stories to come. I have to admit that
some of my favorite quotes come from this book, so you might see it pop up
again on Wordy Wednesday, but when the author provides such hilarious material
I just feel the need to share.
If you haven’t already
read this book I can’t wait for you to see what all of the hype is about. You might just find that surly vampires, and meddling
mothers, are right up your ally too.
Happy Reading

Single White Vampire (Argeneau Vampire book 3)

Editor Kate C. Leever's first letter to her newest legacy
author was intended to impress upon him the growing demand for his
"vampire romances". Though he'd expressed little to no desire for
publicity, book tours or the like, it was clear that this was a writer waiting
to be broken out. Correspondence with Mr. Lucern Argeneau tended to be oddly
delayed, but this time his response was quick and succinct.
"No."
But Kate was adamant: Luc was going to attend a romance convention to meet his
fans. By hook or by crook, despite his reclusive nature, odd sleep schedule and
avoidance of the sun, the surly yet handsome Luc was going to be recognized as
the real charmer a nationally bestselling author should be. But soon Kate would
learn that his novels were more biographies than bodice rippers, and it'd be
her neck on the line.
A sweeter surrender, or more heartwarming love story - his own - Luc has yet to
write.
Official published review:
The power of the pen
This book probably wasn’t intended to be a comedy, but I
found myself laughing as much as I was commiserating with Kate at how trying
Lucern could be. The author melded this book perfectly with the rest of the
series and I love that Lucern is an author in his own right. I enjoyed his
surliness and the way Kate helped him to become a better man. I enjoyed every
aspect of this book, from the characters to the storyline, and I can’t wait to
see which Argeneau finds their lifemate next.

Lynsay Sands is the nationally bestselling author of the
Argeneau/Rogue Hunter vampire series, as well as numerous historicals and
anthologies. She's been writing since grade school and considers herself
incredibly lucky to be able to make a career out of it. Her hope is that

there are occasional uncontrollable fits of laughter, that's just a big
bonus.
