Fan Friday – Leopard’s Fury – Christine Feehan

 

Have you guys read any of Cristine Feehan’s leopards books yet?  If not, what are you waiting for!  They can be read as stand-alone stories, but for full enjoyment and character detail and enjoyment I recommend starting with book 1.

Leopard’s Fury is my absolute favorite in the series…at least so far, so of course I own it in paperback and ebook versions.  I’m not a hoarder!  I promise!  Well okay maybe a hoarder of books, but I try to stick to the ebook versions now that that is an option.  I don’t know if it’s the growth we get to watch in Evangeline and Alazon/Fyodor as they draw closer together, or and I have a sneaking suspicion this is the case, if it’s the sheer dominance in the hot Russian men she finds herself surrounded by.  Either way this is a book that I keep going back to again and again, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

This is one of my favorite books by this author! I love the intensity between the characters, the feelings of family between the men, and the way the relationship evolves. The author did a fabulous job of creating an addition to her leopard world that flows with the previous books and stands out all on its own. These two characters were meant to have the perfect HEA. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Throwback Thursday – The Dragon’s Treasured Mate – R.E. Butler

 

Woohoo!  It’s Thursday and today we are taking a time hop back to January of 2018.  This is the 2^nd book in the Uncontrollable Shift series.  (Oh, and just an FYI, Ms Butler has a new book joining the series in November, “The Leopard Twins”)

I love the way the author has her shifters literally drop everything when they find their mates.  No really!  Clothes explode, things get broken, and they are stuck in their other form until they connect with their mates.  Which is usually awkward, as you can imagine, but when you are a dragon it can be very destructive.  Not to mention the fact that it is a little disturbing for the neighbors.

You guys are going to want to grab a copy of this book to see how fate worked in many layers to get these two together.  It’s a wild ride you won’t want to miss.

I love the instant connection and that neither is afraid of change. It’s a shame that the wolves are not what Cecily thought they were, but at least the dragons don’t disappoint. I hope there will be more books in this series.

A mother’s hate

Another roaring success from these very talented authors. The Preor have come across some not so savory in laws before, but this one might just take the cake. I love that we got to see the transformation of the characters as they not just changed their own thinking, but that of public opinion. I enjoyed each of the characters, especially Penelope and her ever changing attitude. The way they all interact and have become a community is so endearing. The authors kept the emotions high in this book and the action is coming from all directions right until the very end. I hope this is not the end of the series because I can’t imagine not seeing what happens next in the world of the Preor.

When the final curtain closes

This is the perfect follow up to the dragon shorts and the way the young ones meet and become friends. The author created the perfect mother for a sassy, spunky little girl like Daisy, and sullen, withdrawn Blake is the right mate for Dawn. The author really blew me away with her attention to detail as the relationship built between this couple. And I loved that she brought the angst and worry of reality into the story, it kept the story interesting and new. I can’t wait to read her next book because with a parting epilogue like this you just know it’s going to be amazing.
