I’m sure you guys have figured out by now that I get the
distinct joy of being able to read ARCs by certain authors. During this week of Thanksgiving, I consider
this to be one of the things that I am most thankful for. I hope that you are all avid enough readers
that you can understand my feelings on this.
I always post my review to any platform that the book is already active
on, but I don’t usually blog about a series until the newest book from the
series has been published, but I have to make an exception for this one.
After you read the first two books in the series, you are
going to want to grab up the newest book Deuces Wild as soon as it releases on
December 3rd. The author is taking us on a slow build up to
the excitement with this series, both in the books themselves and the way they
integrate with the rest of her Tales of the Were series. If you have already read the first book,
I bet you were like me and had no idea that there was a tie in. By the second book I could see the hints that
this series was going to be connected and by this upcoming book it was solidly
evident. Each book is slightly longer
and has way more action and danger then the last. Don’t worry though, Ms D’Arc has still managed
to infuse the romance we love and the hot, steamy, sexy times that she does so
well. We might not know how far the
characters are going to evolve on the mental plain, but clearly, they are going
to become an important part of the on-going battle to fight evil. It makes you wonder (Or maybe not, if you
only take books at face value), was their development through the Gemini
project part of the long game. Was it a
strategic move by the light to ensure that they would have everything/person
that they needed at their disposal when the final battle comes. Only one person knows for sure and, at the
moment, she is not telling.
No matter where she takes this series, Ms D’Arc has given us
a set of books and heroes that you will not want to miss out on reading. She starts the series with Tag Team, where
she introduces the Gemini Project and we get to meet some of the guys in the unit. At only 53 pages this is a quick intense read
that you are going to enjoy. She ups the
steaks with Doubling Down and more than doubles the enjoyment when she starts
sprinkling in the excitement and increases the page count to 131. By the time she adds in Deuces Wild, and the excitement
that comes with it, you find yourself thoroughly hooked and anxious to see what
happens next. I have no idea where these
guys and their special ladies are going, but I am already on the edge
of my seat waiting until the next book releases.
(Of course, I know the third book hasn’t even released yet! Geez! But
you will understand my feelings once you get to read it for yourself.)

No more missed opportunities
I just love the way this author thinks. This book may not be
long, but it contains so much story. I really enjoyed the way the author was
able to infuse the characters background relationship into every step forward
in their reconnection. She did a fantastic job of making the evolution of their
threesome flow so naturally with the story. I would have loved for the story to
be a little longer because it was just that good. I am so glad they managed to
find their HEA and can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of the
unit.

Doubling Down (Gemini Project book 2)

Author Bianca D’Arc
Two soldiers with a weird superpower…
Jay and Zack aren’t just any run of the mill Special Forces soldiers. They can hear each other’s thoughts—and only each other’s—which means they’ll be a team for the rest of their careers…and lives. The military experiment that opened up the silent channel of communication between their minds only solidified a friendship that had already spanned years.
They are a lot alike in many ways, and their taste in women is also something they have in common, which is a good thing, because being in each other’s heads all the time means relationships with women are more than a little tricky. The solution some of the other duos in their unit have found is to find just one woman willing to share and be shared, love and be loved, by them both.
One woman under threat…
Becky likes both Jay and Zack so much, she’s waiting for one of the guys to step up and ask her out because she can’t decide which one she likes more. When underworld henchmen attempt to kidnap her, Jay and Zack play the hero, saving her in the nick of time. But her life is still in danger. She knows something someone wants and they’ll go to just about any length to get that information from her.
Together, Jay and Zack will use their special skills first, to find out why Becky is suddenly a target for kidnappers and second, how to end the threat once and for all. They will take on crime bosses, goons, bodyguards with almost supernatural skills and a man who doesn’t seem quite human. But when push comes to shove, will Becky be able to accept both of them, and the strange power they have? Or will she run from them…straight into danger?

The magic of three
The author made leaps and bounds with this newest addition
to the Gemini Project series. She built on the connection between the pairs and
the unit as a group, and brought a comradery that gives the characters more
depth. You can even see hints of the Tales of the Were series in this book, and
I love it. I especially enjoyed the way Becky took the plunge and really put
herself out there to bring the three of them together and yet she didn’t lose
any of her feminine vulnerability in the process. I don’t know what the author
plans on for the rest of the team, but I can’t wait to find out.

Her heart is wild, but can she handle two mates for
the price of one?
Jeff and Marlon are men on a mission. Highly-trained special operatives with a hidden talent for telepathy, they’re infiltrating an illegal high-stakes poker tournament in order to gather intelligence on the other players.
Maya has been invited to the tournament to help guard an ancient vampire. She’s a bear shifter, who has never found her mate. When fate introduces her to two men who make her inner bear turn into a hussy, she’s not sure what to make of it. Can she really have two mates? It doesn’t seem likely, but the more she’s around them, the more she wants to keep them...both...forever.
When terrorists attack the mansion where they’re all staying, the boys will have to swing into action, to save the day. Will they be able to handle Maya’s secret dual nature, or will the bear frighten them off? And, will they all survive the battle to discover if they are meant to spend the rest of their lives together, or will they never get the chance?
*Author’s Note: This story more firmly establishes the connection between the Gemini Project and Grizzly Cove, Jaguar Island, and all the rest of my paranormal series. Yes, they are all set in the same world - just different parts of it.

Know when to hold them
Oh wow! This series keeps getting better and
better. The author really did a fantastic job of bringing the series into the
fold of her other books when she penned this one. It’s a veritable who’s who of
Tales of the Were characters and the action is over the top exciting. I love
how these three were already connecting on an emotional level before the danger
began. It made the transition into The Know smooth and seemless. I really can’t
wait to read how the author intends to continue the integration of this unit
into the wild world of the Tales of the Were and what other talents the
characters pick up along the way. This book is one you are not going to want to
miss.

Bianca D'Arc started her professional life running a
laboratory. After grad school, she started to climb the corporate ladder in the
shark-infested streets of lower Manhattan. Along the way, she studied various
forms of the martial arts, racked up hundreds of thousands of frequent flyer
miles, and learned that life is too short to spend it doing something you
dislike. She now writes full time and loves it more than anything, though
she'll always miss her first love... her laboratory
