Especially when you find your mate, who is not the groom. This book was an emotional roller coaster. We have Breck who hides behind a fun-loving facade, then we have Darla who seems to just let anyone roll right over her. Forced into a marriage with someone she doesn’t love romantically, Darla comes to the resort and finds her mate and realizes that too many people are depending on her and they can never be together. Breck is forced to understand and face a life alone because, he too, tends to put everyone else first. The road is long and fraught with many tears, but eventually they reach their HEA. I hope we get to see what happens to Liam next. He seems like someone who deserves to find happiness.
