Featured Book – Kodiak’s Claim – Eve Langlais

I have been completely remiss when it comes to this book.  I hate to admit that it has been sitting in my “To Be Read” folder for a pretty long time.  I love this author’s writing, so I am not sure why I kept passing it by.  I was not disappointed when I finally opened it up and got to reading.  I love the characters!  Almost from the beginning we get to see the strength in the female lead.  I mean seriously!  Who heads out to the wilds of Alaska in the dead cold without a real plan?  She took the bull by the horns and ran Reid ragged as she conducted her investigation, and generally disrupted his life.  Good thing for his grandma or he might have lost the best thing that ever forced her way into his little town.

This book is going to make you laugh, cry, tremble in fear, and celebrate at the HEA.  Don’t be a fool like me and leave it on the back burner for so long.  At least I learn from my mistakes, so I am on to read the rest of the series.  I can’t wait to see what happens next in this Alaskan town.

A Big Bear Romance.

He might growl, but she’s not afraid to bite.

Hands full taking care of his clan, the last thing this Kodiak bear needs is a woman poking her cute little nose into his affairs. But when she refuses to back down—and shows the courage to stand up to him—he can’t resist the allure of a curvy city girl.

She’s mine. All mine.

And when a rival clan thinks to use her to force his paw, he’ll show them why you never piss off a Kodiak, or threaten what’s his.

Tammy is convinced all men are scum, even gorgeous ones like Reid Carver. She knows he’s hiding something. Something big. She just never expected a real freaking bear hid underneath all those yummy muscles. But when the truth comes out and he tries to scare her off with a roar, she shows him not just bears have bite.

Official published review:

Bringing on the heat

The story is endearing, the characters amazing and the excitement and danger enthralling. Overall this is a perfect beginning to a new series. The only thing missing is a little more backstory about a few things, so we knew what drove them to their actions, but with 5 more books I’m sure the intensity will increase overtime. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to move onto the next one.

New York Times and USA Today Bestseller Eve Langlais is a Canadian author who loves to write hot romance. She likes to blame her twisted imagination for her sarcastic sense of humor which tends to heavily influence her stories. She enjoys writing about strong alpha males, and shifters. Lots of big, overprotective shifters that need the right woman to temper their wild side--and unleash the lover.

She loves to write, and while she might not always know what her mind is going to come up with next, she does promise it will be fun, probably humorous and most of all romantic, because she believes in a happily ever after.
