Featured Series – Black Paw Pack – Melanie James

Our last featured series was all about the bears, brother bears to be exact.  This time we are all about the wolves.  This is a short series, with only 2 books currently, but it looks like there might be a 3rd at some point in the future.  I really hope so as it is one of my favorite series.  The best thing about this series is that it flows so smoothly with 2 other series written by the author, Black Paw Wolves (part of the Sassy Ever After collection) and Twisted Tail Pack (part of the Paranormal Dating Agency collection).

I really enjoyed the way the author took us deep into the Norse legends with this series.  I am kind of a history buff, so anything like that really draws me in.  Which is kind of odd since I can’t really stand historical romance.  Not to say I haven’t read and enjoyed reading about the Irish and Scottish Lairds in their kilts, yummy, oh sorry I had to wipe away some drool for a moment, but I love my cell phone, laptop, and of course in door facilities.  Too many years out in the field with the Army.

Ms. James was able to weave this intricate story with wonderful characters, deep emotions and room for growth and expansion.  I love how she was able to change perceptions based on truth and how she kept us on our toes cheering for the good guys while biting our nails when the bad guys reared their ugly heads.  Okay most of the bad guys were just as hot as the good guys, but they always say it is inside that counts and their insides seem to have gone bad.

I hope you take the opportunity to read these books and the other series she has built around them.  I don’t think you will be disappointed.  Click on any of the links or pictures to run over to Amazon and grab yourself a copy.  You might find that they are worth sharing, I know I have.  Why just look, if you read all of the way to the bottom (Stopping to show Ms. James some love on her social media sites) you can try your hand at winning an adult book pillow and print book by the author.

Happy Reading

The legends and sagas of the Norse tell tales of mystic warriors, the Berserkers. Heroes with hearts so fierce, loyal and courageous the Gods endowed them with a supernatural gift—the spirit of the wolf. As the time of the Gods faded into the shadows of yesterday, the wolf warriors held fast to their old ways, becoming outlaws in their ancestral lands.

In a new age, in a new land, the packs rebuilt their lives faithful to their sacred ways. In the pack of Black Paw, one man stands above all others, Rafe Erickson. His unquestioned authority and skill have fulfilled all but one part of his destiny, to find his mate. What happens when he learns that his destined mate is bound to the twisted leader of a rival pack?

In the saga of Black Paw, there can be only one choice:
To follow your destiny at any cost.

***This is a paranormal shape shifter romance and contains sexy scenes. If you're looking for smoking hot alpha males you've picked up the right book! This book can be read as a stand alone!

Official published review:

Escaping to destiny

If you are looking for intense emotion and unrelenting action this is the book for you. The author starts the action with the first page and keeps it moving until the very end. Mixed throughout she has the emotional building of relationships with the alpha and his mate, the rest of the pack, and even the beta and the doctor find a shift in their current situation. I truly enjoyed this book and I loved the way the author set us up for future books I can’t wait to read the next book.

A semi reluctant mating

Erin has loved Lucas all of her life, but she feels the secret she keeps makes her an unworthy mate for him. Lucas desperately wants to make her his not knowing that her secret is a deal breaker. When the truth is revealed they struggle to return to that place of love and acceptance. With their family, the Black Paw pack, and the God and Goddess on their side the action never stops.
