In search of a foot pop
I watched a movie once where all the woman wanted was a kiss
so good it made her foot pop. With Gerri’s help that is exactly what Jes got.
Okay she also ended up mated to one hunky piece of alpha bear, but you are not
going to hear any complaints from her. This book is a fantastic addition to the
Maverick pride series. Throughout the course of the book we not only got to see
these two overcome so much to find their HEA, but we were able to see a few
possibilities for future connections. I am really enjoying this series and I
can’t wait to read the next installment.

C.D. Gorri into the reading nook.
Ms Gorri is one of my
favorite authors. I know it seems like I
say that about all of the authors I feature, but she really is one of my
favorites. She has created this entire
world starting with her YA book Wolf Moon.
She introduced into the Grazi Kelly Universe and then she builds each of
her stories and series around that. I
know this is a romance blog, but you really need to check out her YA
series. You need to read them, or you
will miss out on some of the references in the other books.

Waiting on the rain
This book is an introduction into the world of Grazi Kelly
and you won’t want to miss it. The author has shaped all of her stories around
this world and to really enjoy the full experience, you will want to start
here. This is YA, so not usually my speed, but the author has brought all of
her details to her characters, emotions and the story to this amazing book. There
is a definite conclusion to this particular battle, but a cliffhanger in the
sense that the war is far from won. I truly enjoyed this book and I can’t wait
to see how the characters grow in the next one.

Another reason I truly
rate this author as one of my favorites is because she is so interactive with
her readers. Now don’t misunderstand, I
totally get that authors have busy lives just like the rest of us and I’m sure
each of them gives the amount of time to their readers that they are able. But Ms Gorri really goes the extra mile. She is very responsive when you chat with her
and she has a very active Facebook Group:

I know you guys are

Better than a vacation
So good! I love how the author took Bowie completely by
surprise when she introduced Roxie to the clan. He is one of my favorite kind
of characters, alpha to the core and yet this hidden soft center that not many
get the chance to see. Maybe that’s why he saw the real fox behind the facade.
No matter the reason, the author takes these two on a merry chase to their home
and their HEA. I don’t know what the author has in store for the rest of the
clan, but I can’t wait to see the women that will tame the triplets.

Ahh young love
This book is short and sweet and all about how teenage boys
grow up too slow. Okay, maybe not just about that, but this book takes the long
way to the HEA when one side of a pair decides he can’t handle the truth at
such a young age. I love how this duo manages to find each other again and
reach their HEA. I look forward to the next book by this author.

I know you are probably tired of hearing from me, let’s just get right
to the Q and A session with Ms Gorri.
When did you first
realize you wanted to be an author?
Since I was about 9 and I’d read my first grown up novel,
Gone With The Wind. 😉
How long does it
typically take you to write one of your books?
This is a difficult question to answer because I typically
spend weeks to months (in the case of my first book Wolf Moon YEARS) simply
plotting out the story and developing my characters in my brain before I ever
sit in front of a computer. So if the question is how long does it take from the
conception of one of my books till I hit publish, I’d say 6 months to a year
minimum.
Do you usually write
one book at a time or do you find yourself working on multiple books as your
muse takes you?
I have just started working on multiple books at a time.
Writing in one universe allows me to overlap characters, creatures, and
settings, so it really helps save some time there.
What is your work
schedule like when you are writing?
I am a busy mom of three, so I usually write when my kids
are asleep or at school, but that usually means I am juggling housework,
cooking, our menagerie of pets (currently 2 dogs, 1 guinea pig, and 1
hedgehog). 😉
What would you say is
your interesting writing quirk?
Something readers might have noticed is I usually try and
drop the word “gory” in my books, cause you know, my last name is Gorri (LOL).
Where do you get your
information or ideas for your books?
Blame it on an overactive imagination and many many
thousands of hours reading and conceptualizing since childhood.
When did you write
your first book and how old were you?
I drafted my first complete version of Wolf Moon about 15
years ago, but it took me almost a
decade to publish it.
What do you like to do
when you are not writing?
My mind I always working! I love to read, watch movies,
cook, and be with my family of course! I am a devoted sports mom and very proud
of my kids.
What does your family
think of your writing?
My family is very supportive of me and my goals, especially
my husband who never fails to support me in all I do. #MyHubbyIsMyInspiration 😉
What was one of the
most surprising things you learned in creating your books?
I am learning new things every day. Research is a huge part
of my writing, exploring myths and legends, so I am constantly learning.
Out of all of the
books that you have written, which is your favorite?
That’s like picking a favorite child. LOL. I have to say, I
am very pleased with Marked By the Devil though.

If the writer is interested in the subject it will show, and
it makes a good story. For me, I want to be entertained when I pick up a book.
I want to escape my reality in favor of something else for a little while. This
is my goal when I pick up my laptop and start writing.
