Today I get the pleasure of welcoming Terri A. Wilson to our Reading Nook. 

Ms Wilson may only have had her books start being published recently, but she is already beginning to make a name for herself.  She has written books for 2 of Milly Taiden’s worlds – Sassy Ever After and Federal Paranormal Unit – as well as her own books.  I think one of my favorite books is the first book in her “The Shadows Series”.  I love Steampunkesk stories, and apparently when you place it in the wild west and add a twist of paranormal, I am all in.

This book is another jewel in the authors crown! Her take on the Wild West brings so many new characters to love with a story line that kept me enthralled until the very end. A bargain to save her family's business opens Elizabeth's eyes to an entire world she never knew existed, and thankfully, she took me along for the ride. I hope the author brings us many new stories from Alana Creek, I can't wait to visit again.

Have you read about Ms Wilson’s dragons yet?  I truly loved this book and this series.  Now as you know that is a little bit of a contradiction because I am not really a fan of cliffhangers and will avoid them at all cost, but the book was just that good.  And lucky you!  All 5 books are out now, so you can start at the beginning and not finish until you have read them all.

Wow! This book was so good! It really is a slow burn, there is a cliffhanger, well I hope it is anyway. I can’t imagine going on to another couple without seeing what happens with these two. That’s not to say that there weren’t some amazing characters in this book that I would love to see have their own love stories. This book seems to be the perfect setup for a long running series. I can’t wait to read the next book and see where the author’s muse takes her. Hopefully to a HEA for this couple and the rest of their friends and family.

I think one of my favorites, of her currently available books, is this next one.  It is part of Milly Taiden’s new FPU world and it was the perfect addition.  I love that she has created this unit within the FPU world, and I can only hope that she plans on writing a book for each of the members.  They are definitely those bad boy alphas, and ladies, that we want to see find their own HEAs.

What a fantastic read! A great addition to the Federal Paranormal Unit world! Once I started I couldn’t put it down. I love how the group dynamics change as the characters grow. They finally accepted their places in the pack and they fought the bad guys and perceptions of others bringing them to their HEA. I can’t wait to read about the rest of the pack and what happens to them.

This next one is one that is actually the 4^th book in the series.  I hate to say it, but I haven’t read all of them.  I will tell you why, well as long as you don’t get all judgey, it is just a personal preference and I encourage you to read all of them as they are just that good.  But I did not read book 2, I just can’t get into sharing my man.  I totally love RH books, the more sexy hot alphas the better which I know is a complete case of hypocricy, but what can I say I should have been a bear I am uber possessive and will not share.  Like I said, just my personal preference, so it is up to you to decide.



I really did enjoy the rest of the books in the series, especially this one.  I loved getting the back story on how the sanctuary really came to be and the people who shaped it.  I think you are going to love it.

What a sweet love story! Forgive me a minute while I wipe the tears from my eyes. This pair were meant to be together, although they had to struggle at first, but they made it and reached their HEA. I love that the story was a flashback and ended with new life. Such a wonderful circle of life. I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next.

I always say I am going to lead with a quick introduction, but it never fails these authors have so many fantastic books and I just to tell you about all of them.  Okay enough from me, it’s time to get to the actual interview section of the post.

When did you first realize you wanted to be an author?

Second grade, but I didn’t do anything about it until almost forty years later.



How long does it typically take you to write one of your books?

It depends on my level of distractions. On average it’s been about 2-3 weeks.



Do you usually write one book at a time or do you find yourself working on multiple books as your muse takes you?

I started working on multiple, but now I focus more on one at a time. But that means, one in development, one in production, and one in revision. But I’m only writing one at a time.



What is your work schedule like when you are writing?

I have access to my document at all times so I can write whenever I need. I get a lot of writing done at night.



What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

I act out my fight scenes with some barbies I snagged from kids.



Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

Everywhere



When did you write your first book and how old were you?

2018/ 47



What do you like to do when you are not writing?

Binge watch TV shows, spend time with my family.



What does your family think of your writing?

My kids keep wanting to read my books. I will let them in about 10 years. My husband thinks it’s cool.



What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?

I had a thicker skin than I thought.



Out of all of the books that you have written, which is your favorite?

My Mate’s Destiny, Book Four in the Sanctuary for My Mate series.



What do you think makes a good story?

A passionate, evolving author and an eager reader



As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?

Write Books



I really hope that Ms Wilson continues to provide me, well us, with many more hours of distraction by publishing many more books.  I really can’t wait for her to put out the next FPU book, and I wonder if she will end up writing a book of the PDA world.  I guess only time will tell.
