What better way to
close out the work week than with one of my favorite books. I love how the author paired this sweet
innocent, seemingly human woman with one of the most feared vampires
around. But he really should learn to
listen to the ladies in his life because he might just have gotten more than he
expected when he finally gets around to claiming his mate. Typical arrogant male.
The author brought us
all of the action we expect from the I-Ops world with that perfect love story
for the characters. Oh, and did I
mention that she keeps the underlying edge of humor and stubborn man? Good thing the world is wearing masks at the
moment, it makes it easier to hide those sudden moments of uncontrollable laughter
I am sure you will be having. You are
going to want to read this book, if you haven’t already, if only for just a
little escape from reality.

Innocent and unaware
There is just something about the fang gang. Don’t get me
wrong, I love all of the ops books, but the vampires just seem more. The author
has made them old, with the classic proper air we expect, and a beautiful
brutality that we don’t see in the shifters or fae. I really enjoyed this book
and the way that these two had to overcome preconceived notions, protective
alpha males and a group of baddies to reach their HEA. I can’t wait to read the
next book in the ops series.
