This book is one of
the first books I stumbled across when I made the switch to ebooks. Of course, that was when I was still using
the free library app and not leaving reviews.
I know! My lack of knowledge on
book reading etiquette was appalling. But
I’m better educated now, and I get to share all of these amazing older books
with you and I re-read my way through my Kindle app library.
The author did a
phenomenal job with this book. She took
the time to build multiple detailed societies within her world and then created
characters with a depth that made them so realistic. I love how the characters interact with each
other and the realistic way that they all have their own agenda. And the emotions she was able to elicit from
them is just, wow. I found myself crying
during more than one spot and would gladly do it again to re-experience the
depth of the emotions these characters felt for one another.
This is a fantastic
series starter that you won’t want to miss.
And the best thing is that there are already 27 books/novellas
available. Plus, the author is still
adding to them, her latest book “Alpha Knight” just released on June 9,
2020. Such a wonderful birthday present
for me this year. You are sure to find
yourself down the series rabbit hole once you pick up this book, and you might
find you won’t to come back until the end of the very last one.

What a fantastic new world! I absolutely love the different
unique levels to the society and how each group has their own social norms. The
author put so much detail into the world she created and in the characters that
she built, I almost half expected to turn my head and see them walking all
around me. I enjoyed the depth to the characters and the emotions that she was
able to impart with her words. More than once I felt myself tearing up at the
experiences they lived through. The author kept the story exciting and
interesting with every new experience she brought her characters to on the way
to their HEA. I cannot wait to pick up the next book in this series and see who
will find danger, and their HEA, next.
