The book you won’t be able to put down for hours

The book you won’t be able to put down for hours

Daddy’s Demands:  Twenty-Five Steamy Daddy Dom Romance Novellas
Published to Amazon on September 18, 2018
Author Madison Faye, Renee Rose, Loki Renard, Maggie Ryan, Zoe Blake, Alta Hensley, Lee Savino, J.L. Beck, Jane Henry, Isabella Laase, Kelly Dawson, Sara Fields, Kara Kelley, Measha Stone, Amelia Smarts, Mary Wehr, Maddie Taylor, Meredith O'Reilly, Morganna Williams, Katherine Deane, Alexis Alvarez, Shelly Douglas, Sassa Daniels, Marlee Wray, and Rory Reynolds

I’m not really an anthology kind of person.  I usually only buy them for the one work that a favorite author put out.  Like in this case, I actually bought this just so I could read Mafia Daddy by Renee Rose and Daddy Ever After by Measha Stone.  That is not to say that some of my favorite authors are not included in the 25 stories in this anthology, but that I really wanted Ms Rose’s and Ms Stone’s novellas.

That being said, I have taken the time to read all 25 of the novellas and below are my individual reviews on each one.

Her Savage Mountain Daddy by Madison Faye
If you are going to be “kidnapped” and taken into protective custody, would you really want it to be by anyone other than Cormac?  I hot alpha male who loves to be “Daddy” for his little girl.  This book has a little bit of age play as he is almost twice her age, but once he loves he loves hard and for keeps.  Nina is very inexperienced in all ways of the world and is thrust into the unknown through no fault of her own.  Of course, her choice to listen to the questionable advice of her roomie she makes all on her own.  Luckily Cormac steps in to save the day.  If you’re looking for a hot alpha male to be your disciplinarian, then this is the novella for you.

Mafia Daddy by Renee Rose
The novella that prompted me to purchase this anthology. I am still in love with the alpha males of Ms Rose’s mafia men of the Vegas Underground series. Jenna needs a firm hand when she goes wild following a broken arranged marriage contract. Luckily for her it comes in the form of Alex, one of her dad’s men. The steam is super hot as these two work towards their HEA.
5 stars

Daddy's Little Captive by Loki Renard
Dominic can visit my restaurant any time. He is the quintessential bad boy, the one who leads good girls astray. I was a little put off by Marina though as she acts more like a twit than anything else. She loves Dominic you can tell, but she basically lets the police and everyone else bully her into their way of thinking. At least she doesn’t testify against Dominic, I will give her that.
3 stars

There Once Was a Girl by Maggie Ryan
It’s funny how seeing someone in a place you didn’t expect makes you realize what they mean to you. Bailey couldn’t be more innocent when she enters the club, fortunately Griffith is there to rescue her from herself. Like all novellas, this one is quick and dirty. The love is both felt and implied in the length of relationship although the dynamics are new. The enjoyment comes in knowing that they have finally become what they are meant to be and reached their HEA.

Daughter #13 by Zoe Blake
This story was a little odd. It started out kind of stalkerish, but then it switches to the feeling that a separate entity is trying to acquire Devon. Of course we later learn they are one and the same. Overall the story was pretty good, especially because Devon and Reid manage to get their HEA.
3 stars

Monsters of Mercy by Alta Hensley
I liked this one. Because I would seriously prefer to earn my own penance under one master then by death or many takers. I was a little disappointed in the ending though. The story was moving along perfectly and then bam, the ending happened. Maybe there was a word limit to be included in the anthology, but I would have enjoyed a more well spaced ending to actually bring me closer rather than suddenly hitting a wall.
3 stars

Dueling Daddies by Lee Savino
Yummy. Two daddies who want the lead in this quick dirty little story. Too bad Evie is used to listening to her aunt and doesn’t realize her guys want only her. Luckily they won’t take no for an answer forcing her to see herself in a new light and their love for her. Such a wonderful HEA.
3 stars

Daddy of Mine by J.L. Beck
This novella was very convoluted and confusing. The basic of the story was excellent, but then you add in her mom is his soon to be ex-wife and his step-dad is the guy who she’s been obsessing over for 3 years. I really enjoyed that he was able to punish the guy who hurt her so severely and that they finally achieved their HEA.
3 stars

Professor Daddy by Jane Henry
This book is a softer version of the typical Dom. Geoffrey is no less of a Dom just because he is soft and gentle soul. He takes Giada under his wing when he realizes what she really needs.  He gives her the structure and discipline she needs while deriving the Daddy persona that he needs. I enjoyed that they manage to get their HEA.
4 stars

Rainy Day Daddy by Isabella Laase
I need to find me a rainy day Daddy. Nora is a complete brat!  It’s not that I don’t understand why and sympathize with her situation, but she is an adult it’s time to grow up. Caden has the patience of a saint. Even after she broke his plane he tried to remain calm. Luckily for them both, she pushed him too far letting them build a relationship and win their HEA.
4 stars

Trusting Daddy by Kelly Dawson
This is a gentle domination. Cain is no less Tessa’s Daddy because he is gentle. He turns her wayward ways into a focus that she needs after the death of her father. Together they conquer the rodeo circuit and find their HEA.
4 stars

My Marine Daddies by Sara Fields
Dani is a girl handed a rough life. She thought she found her way to something better until she met three marines. Jayce, Seth and Alex went looking for a good time and instead found a good life. This story was a little rough, but the story line was good and I loved the fact that the marines rode to the rescue.
3 stars

Biker Daddy Gunner by Kara Kelley
I have been waiting for this book to come out. Layla has always acted like a brat and an irresponsible mom. Something in her past shaped her just like going to war shaped Trevor. When she and her son get kidnapped by a rival club, hard truths come out and they are finally able to have their HEA. I hope we get to see what happens with the rest of the guys in the MC.
4 stars

Daddy Ever After by Measha Stone
I love the men of the Annex and Hunter is one of my favorites. He has this gruff facade that really hides his marshmallow heart. Well when he meets Jaelynn anyway. It’s a shame she will have to play the long game for her retribution, but at least she will have Hunter to soothe her soul. I can’t wait to see what happens with the men of the Annex next.
5 stars

Finding Her Place by Amelia Smarts
This novella was okay, but it felt a little lacking. The story makes you think he will be a forcefully strong Daddy, but he is lacking the force. I could feel the strength in him but I kept expecting a slightly darker side that never manifested. Kayla is a nosey college student who lost her way for a while and a strong Daddy is what she needs. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow and the fact they reached their HEA.
3 stars

Double Dippin' Daddies by Mary Wehr
I really enjoyed this book. At least until the very end. There was a lot of emphasis on the mom running away and the aunt being bitter, there is even a mention that Ethan and Reed were going to research what happened but we are left hanging. Up until the end the story is perfect. Two strong daddies showing their girl the love and support she needs. At least they get there HEA.
4 stars

Disappointing Her Daddies by Maddie Taylor
This one is a little different as the two daddies and Erica are already an established threesome from the beginning. Poor Erica is thrown for a loop when she realizes what she thought she submitted and what was submitted were two very different things. Luckily, after a fair amount of angst, everything gets sorted and the three of them are able to get back to their HEA.
4 stars

Daddy's Naughty Girl by Meredith O'Reilly
This one is another established couple. For whatever reason Kate has a few hangups where she can’t yet relinquish all control over. But with a supportive daddy, she manages to finally put all of her trust in him. This book is a great representation of a steady long term marriage.
4 stars

Bruised Not Broken by Morganna Williams
It’s a shame Daisy had to suffer hurt and pain from her long distance Daddy, but it forced Jethro to make his move. How difficult it must be to know the woman you love is having a committed long distance relationship with someone she has never seen in person. The only plus is that Jethro is secure in the knowledge that he is the only Daddy who has actually touched her. Not a bad read.
4 stars

Tri-ing For Daddy by Katherine Deane
I really enjoyed this novella. The perfect alpha male meets his perfect woman during her lowest point. He struggles with her loss and pain even before she realizes she has him. The fact that he pursues her and then pushes her to strive to a new goal is icing on the cake. They both deserve the HEA that might have been taken from them forever.
5 stars

Blue Collar Daddy by Alexis Alvarez
It’s so funny what a small world we really live in. The unexpected arrival of her knight to the rescue, ends up being a blast from the past. A blast that ends up being her HEA. Zack is a Daddy who doesn’t mind a little bit of sass and teasing from his baby girl. He’s the perfect match for Kiera, a sassy woman who needs a firm hand to remember the little things.
4 stars

Trained by Him by Shelly Douglas
Lori is a bestselling author who decided to change her genre. Unfortunately, her BDSM is a little on the vanilla side for her readers. As luck would have it, her editor knows the perfect solution for her. Could the little matchmaker have gotten it anymore right?  The HEA seems to indicate that he was right on the money. My only complaint is that I would have liked it to have a kiss at the end when they came to a more long-term relationship. I mean it is romance after all.
4 stars

Taking Helena in Hand by Sassa Daniels
I enjoyed this story. A tough Scottish Daddy not only takes Helena in hand, but saves her from herself and her stalker. This is one of those novellas that by the end of page one the reader is completely vested in the outcome of the story.
4 stars

Bodyguard Daddy by Marlee Wray
I love this story!  The tough ex-soldier gets the shock of his life when a seemingly random woman knocks on his door. Fortunately for her he answers. He is her protector, her daddy and eventually her man. The story has plenty of heat and just enough love to keep you interested and reading for more. Like all good tales, it has a HEA.
5 stars

Daddy's Princess by Rory Reynolds
This is the perfect novella to end the book!  I am in love with Gage. He is the perfect alpha male and soo in love with Estella that it makes you swoon. Estella may not have realized it, but she was saving herself for Gage. They are the best couple. I wonder if Andrew is anything like Gage and if he is still single.

Official published review:
The book you won’t be able to put down for hours
What a wonderful collection of novellas!  There is plenty of steam and control to keep you reading all the way until the end. I purchased this mostly because of Renee Rose’s and Measha Stone’s contributions, but I found so many hidden gems within the 25 stories included. I can’t wait to see what these authors are able to imagine up next.

Happy Reading
