What a wonderful addition to the Love Spells series. This book has every element that you would
want in a good romance novel, a hero who had an unexpected transfusion, a
heroine who has let her career lead her and allowed her magic to take a break,
the friends who are loyal to the end, and the bad guys who try to keep the HEA
from happening. It is such a shame that
Ashley has to suffer a deep depression in the middle of the book, but at least
her friends stick by her and help her to get over it. Even when her idea of getting over it is to sacrifice
herself to solve the riddle and save everyone.

loved this story! It’s a wonderful addition to the Love Spells world.
There is plenty of excitement, friendship, family and love. When her world
seems to be crashing down around her, Ashley finds love with Nick, loyalty and
friendship in her warder and her familiar, and knowledge from the lessons her
mother taught her. Everything comes together for the perfect HEA for this witch
and her vampire love. I can’t wait to see what happens at Empire General
next.
